Killa Abdullah: 3 killed 4 injured in a tribal clash

At least 3 people were killed and 4 injured in a tribal clash in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah district on Thursday. Levies sources said armed men of a tribal group opened fire on another in Killa Abdullah bazar. As a result of the firing, 3 people were killed and injured. A passerby selling ice cream in the Bazar was also caught in the crossfire and killed on the spot, Levies said.
Dozens of armed men from both tribal groups brought weapons and the situation turned tense. District administration Killa Abdullah reached the bazar and restored the traffic between Chaman and Quetta.
The injured people rushed to Quetta for medical treatment after the incident. Panic prevailed on the national highway linking Pakistan with Afghanistan after the deadly clash. No arrest was made in connection with the firing incident till the filing of this report, levies sources told Quetta Voice.
A ceasefire announced for 2 months
Parliamentary leader Awami National Party (ANP) in Balochistan Assembly, Asghar Khan Achakzai, Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah, Tariq Javed Mengal, and other tribal elders reached the spot to ensure ceasefire between two armed groups. “Ceasefire announced between tribesmen for 2 months”, Mr. Achakzai told Quetta Voice via telephone.
The tribal elders and administration officers visited the heads of the tribe to defuse the tension.
Chaman clash:
At least three people sustained injuries as a result of a tribal clash near the Pak-Afghan border Chaman on Thursday evening. The injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Harnai Clash:
Three people were wounded in a tribal clash in the Sazo area of the Harnai district. Levies said an armed clash took a place in a land dispute in the area. The injured shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
Tribal disputes in Balochistan have claimed scores of precious human lives. Especially, hundreds of people have lost their lives in the Killa Abdullah district of the province. The district is famous for tribal disputes.
