Three motorcyclists killed in a traffic accident near Kan Mehtarzai

Three motorcyclists were killed in a traffic accident in the Kan Mehtarza area of Killa Saifullah district of Balochistan. Levies sources said a motorcycle collided with a land cruiser near Kan Mehtarzai. All three people on the motorcycle died on the spot.

The dead bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital. Levies personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. The motorcycle was completed damaged in the accident.

Most of the traffic accidents are caused by motorcycles

Aziz Ahmed Jamali, the Chief Executive Officer Medical Emergency Response Center (MERC) revealed that 78 percent of those injured in road accidents were bike riders. “Since there is no custom of wearing a helmet that is why most of the riders suffered head injuries”, he said.

14 emergency response centers established on highways 

MERC continues to provide service at three highways from Quetta-Karachi, Zhob, and Chaman. “We have established 14 emergency response centers on highways to make sure timely provision of services to people”, he said. For the first time, MERC has collected data of the injured and dead in traffic accidents in Balochistan.
