Commander 12 Corps, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali visited Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district and met with cholera-affected people in the Pir Koh area. Inspector General Frontier Corps (North), Muhammad Yousaf Majoka also accompanied the Commander.

Corps Commander expressed condolences and prayers to the families of the deceased. Corps Commander reviewed the ongoing relief operations in the area. The commander directed the civil administration and FC in the area to use all available resources for solving the problems of the people.

Commissioner Sibi and the provincial secretary of health from the Civil Administration briefed the Commander about the ongoing relief and medical operations in Pir Koh. He directed the district administration and representatives of OGDCL to resolve the issue on a permanent basis.

Commander also directed FC to expedite the excavation of 4 water bores in the area; along with instructing for improvement of treatment facilities in hospitals.

At present, about 400000 liters of clean drinking water are being provided to the residents of the area with the help of bowsers. Commander assured all possible cooperation to complete the ongoing water supply schemes in the area as soon as possible. ISPR
