Ayesha Zehri posted as first woman deputy commissioner in Balochistan

Balochistan government posted Engineer Ayesha Zehri as the first woman deputy commissioner of the province on Sunday. She was posted as Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad. She was serving as the Assistant Commissioner Mach Bolan. According to official sources, Ayesha Zehri was appointed as the DC Naseerabad on the directives of Chief Minister Mir Quddus Bizenjo. 

Mr. Bizenjo ordered the removal of the commissioner, deputy commissioners and assistant commissioners of Naseerabad after complaints lodged by Saleem Khosa, a lawmaker from the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP). Mr. Khosa had demanded that Chief Minister Bizenjo take action against the officials for their negligence and poor performance.

Her appointment has come hours after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif applauded her for her effective role in supporting the flood-affected people in Mach Bolan. The premier walked toward her and clapped for her in recognition of her struggle and services.

Ayesha Zehri remained the Assistant Commissioner Dalbandin and busted gangs involved in the smuggling of narcotics in the area.
