A hand grenade attack left five people including women and children injured in Balochistan’s industrial city of Hub on Tuesday evening. Police sources said unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at a house, which exploded with a big bang.

Police said miscreants hurled the hand grenade at the residence of tribal elder Salah Uddin Zehri. Police and residents of the area shifted the injured to the late Jam Mir Ghulam Qadir Hospital Hub for medical treatment. An emergency was declared in the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured by the blast.

The blast damaged the house also. Police reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. Security was tightened in the aftermath of the blast in and outside Hub city. Police checking and patrolling were increased after the attack.
