Pak Army establishes 13 camps for flood affectees in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps have established 13 relief camps for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people. These camps are established in Kohlu, Sibi, Kalat, Jafarabad, Naseerabad, Sohbat Pur and Jal Magsi districts of the province.

These camps are providing cooked food and medical treatments to 13555 flood-affected people. The packets of food items are provided through the helicopter to the affected areas.

In the last 24 hours, 2805 food packets and clean drinking water has been distributed among the affected people. The packets contained 6144 kg of items including which flour, cooking oil, rice, tea, sugar, etc.

The packets contained 18962 kg of other items such as rent, mosquito nets, soap, and other daily needs items.

There are 6 collection points of Pak Army and FC in Quetta city to collect the items for the flood affectees. Free medical camps are also functional in the affected areas to provide timely treatment to the patients.

The Pak Army, FC and PDMA have established 24 free medical camps in the last 24 hours. These camps have provided free 5416 medicines.

The Pak Army and FC Balochistan are also busy in removing flood water from the highways flooded in various parts of the province.
