The Balochistan government allocated Rs.5.5 billions for the health insurance card in budget for the year 2023-24. The provincial health department has already signed an MoU with a private life insuring company to formally launch the health card in the province.

Under the program, over 2 million families in Balochistan would be provided health cards in the province.

Over all, the provincial government allocated over Rs.65 billions for the health sector in the province. As per the budget documents, over Rs.51 billions were allocated for non development expenditures and Rs.14 bs for development of the health sector in the budget for the year 2023-24.
