Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has released the official MDCAT 2025 syllabus and exam structure, paving the way for aspiring medical and dental students to prepare for the upcoming test.

Exam Format and Details

– *Total Questions:* 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
– *Exam Duration:* 3 hours
– *Format:* Paper-based MCQs
– *Negative Marking:* No negative marking

*Passing Marks Requirements*

– *Medical College Admission:* Minimum 55% marks required
– *Dental College Admission:* Minimum 50% marks required

Subject-wise Weightage Distribution

– *Biology: 81 MCQs (45% of total questions)
– Chemistry: 45 MCQs (25% of total questions)
– Physics: 36 MCQs (20% of total questions)
– English: 9 MCQs (5% of total questions)
– Logical Reasoning: 9 MCQs (5% of total questions)

Difficulty Level Breakdown

– Easy Questions: 15% of total questions
– Moderate Questions: 70% of total questions
– Difficult Questions: 15% of total questions
