Gwadar, December 5, 2024: To mark International Anti-Corruption Day, the NAB (Balochistan) sub-office in Gwadar organized a seminar themed “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.” The event highlighted the critical role of youth in combating corruption and fostering transparency.

The seminar commenced with a video message from Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, who stressed the need for collective efforts to eradicate corruption. He emphasized integrity and transparency as the cornerstones of good governance.

Mr. Haroon Rasheed, Incharge of NAB’s Gwadar office, welcomed participants and outlined NAB’s awareness strategies. Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaaq Sabir, Vice Chancellor of the University of Gwadar and the event’s chief guest, pledged full support to promote anti-corruption initiatives among students.

Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Mr. Hamood Rehman and Commodore Aurangzeb from the Pakistan Navy emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to combat corruption and strengthen governance.

Participants included government officials, civil society members, and students from universities and colleges across Gwadar. A special awards ceremony recognized students from Mekran Division who excelled in various anti-corruption competitions, such as essay writing, declamation, and short films.

The event concluded with an awareness walk led by key figures, including Dr. Abdul Razaaq Sabir, Mr. Haroon Rasheed, and DIG Pervez Umrani. The walk reinforced the importance of collective action against corruption and promoted a culture of accountability and transparency.

This seminar underscores the growing commitment to engaging youth in the fight against corruption, fostering a brighter and more transparent future for Balochistan.
