Shirani: A sudden fire erupted in the forest of Sharo Harifal area in Shirani district, engulfing the trees rapidly, according to local sources.
Local residents initially tried to extinguish the flames on their own as the fire spread across the forest. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Deputy Commissioner Shirani, Saeed Rehman, confirmed that the fire has been brought under control. He appreciated the efforts of local volunteers in assisting the authorities to contain the blaze.
No casualties or major damages have been reported so far. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
