PISHIN: A massive public gathering was organized by the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) in Pishin during the afternoon, where party chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai delivered a speech. Addressing the public meeting, he alleged that the results of the February 8 elections had been manipulated through state power, despite Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) securing victory. He condemned the interference of establishment in politics and accused the ruling authorities of undermining the people’s mandate.

Achakzai emphasized his party’s commitment to democracy and constitutional supremacy, asserting that Pakistan belongs to all its ethnic groups, including Punjabis, Sindhis, Saraikis, Baloch, and Pashtuns. He criticized the role of powerful institutions in shaping political outcomes, calling for military officials, bureaucrats, and politicians to abide by the constitution. He stressed that only by ensuring parliamentary supremacy could Pakistan move towards stability and progress.

The event saw participation from key political figures, including PTI’s central secretary general Salman Akram Raja, Pashtun National Jirga convener Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen chief Raja Nasir Abbas, Sardar Latif Khosa, and other prominent leaders. Party supporters waved flags as tight security arrangements were put in place.

During his speech, Salman Akram Raja also expressed strong support for the long march led by Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal. He endorsed Mengal’s demands and urged the government to take immediate action to address the concerns of Balochistan, emphasizing that the people’s rights must not be ignored.

He referenced past injustices against Baloch leaders, including enforced disappearances, and reaffirmed his commitment to a fair and just Pakistan where all communities enjoy equal rights.

The gathering concluded with slogans in favor of democracy and constitutional rule, with PTI’s Salman Akram Raja paying tribute to party workers and imprisoned leaders for their sacrifices.
