Riaz Baloch:Â
Reko Diq, Chagai – May 22, 2025: The Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) has launched its inaugural Community Feedback Forum, creating a structured platform for local residents and stakeholders across Balochistan to share concerns regarding employment opportunities and procurement processes.
In the first session, five community members submitted their concerns ahead of time, enabling RDMC to conduct internal reviews and prepare detailed responses. Each participant was given dedicated time to present their case, pose questions, and take part in transparent and open dialogue with the company’s officials.
Key RDMC officials, including the Human Resources Site Lead, HR Manager, Community Relations Manager, and Community Engagement Lead, were present. Observers from the Par-e-Koh and Fan Sediments Community Development Committees also attended the session, along with Ashley Price, Head of Sustainability at RDMC.
According to RDMC, the Community Feedback Forum is part of its broader commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and strong community relationships. The forum is designed to strengthen two-way communication and address local concerns through direct interaction.
Community Development Committee representatives appreciated the initiative, calling it a step toward greater accountability and improved understanding of RDMC’s operations. They praised the company’s efforts to promote local hiring, fair procurement, and sustained engagement with surrounding communities.
This forum is expected to be held regularly, reinforcing RDMC’s pledge to responsible mining and meaningful dialogue in the region.
