Quetta, April 18, 2026: Quetta police have expanded their investigation into the shocking double murder of two brothers in the provincial capital, with a serving police inspector now named as the prime suspect.

Raids are underway at multiple locations as officers intensify efforts to arrest the accused.

SSP Operations Quetta Asif Khan confirmed that investigators are examining whether the named suspect — Naqeebullah Inspector — used a government-issued pistol in the killings. The verification process is ongoing.

Speaking to the media, SSP Asif Khan stated, “Every angle of this incident is being thoroughly investigated. We are committed to uncovering the full truth and delivering justice without delay.”

He assured that intensive raids are continuing in different parts of the city and surrounding areas. “The suspect will be arrested soon and produced before the court,” he added.

SSP Asif Khan stressed that the law applies equally to everyone. “No one is above the law. Whoever is involved will face justice — there will be no favours or concessions,” he said firmly.

Police have also started probing possible facilitation or abetment in the double murder, while forensic teams continue collecting evidence from the crime scene.

The brutal killing of the two brothers has left their family in deep grief and triggered serious concern among Quetta residents, many of whom are now calling for swift action and transparency in the case — especially since a police officer is directly implicated.
