News Desk: In the last 24 hours, Balochistan has been struck by a series of tragic incidents involving terrorism, shootings, landmine explosions, and traffic accidents. These events have claimed the lives of seven people, including police personnel, and left more than fifteen others injured.

 

In Khuzdar’s Baghbana Bajoi area, unidentified armed men attacked a police party. The assault resulted in the martyrdom of a police officer and a lady constable, while the Additional SHO and other officers sustained injuries. Following the attack, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. In another incident within the same district, armed men targeted a private mobile company’s tower and machinery, causing severe damage to the installations.

 

In Mastung’s Dasht Tehsil, a clash between security forces and militants led to the martyrdom of SP Saryab’s reader, Rahmatullah Khilji. Meanwhile, in Dera Bugti’s Lanjoo area, a landmine explosion killed Mohib Ali, son of Jafar Chakarani.

 

Traffic accidents also added to the toll. At Dhaddar Cross, a collision between a Mazda truck and a car claimed two lives. In Quetta’s Chashma Achozai Hinna Bypass, a speeding vehicle collided with a Zaranj rickshaw, killing 15-year-old Nasiba Bibi on the spot and injuring several others who were rushed to hospital.

 

Other fatalities were reported in different districts. In Duki, an Afghan citizen named Mansoor, son of Shah Wali, died due to electrocution inside a coal mine. In Dera Allah Yar, a firing incident claimed the life of Ghulam Qadir. In Nasirabad’s Mangoli area, a domestic dispute ended in tragedy when a husband shot and killed his wife.

 

All injured individuals have been shifted to hospitals, with some reported to be in critical condition. Police have registered cases for all incidents and initiated investigations. Security forces are conducting raids in various areas to apprehend the attackers and perpetrators involved in these crimes.

 

This wave of violence and accidents highlights the ongoing challenges of law and order in Balochistan, where both terrorism and everyday tragedies continue to claim innocent lives.
