Education Desk:

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has taken significant administrative action by suspending 32 officials of the Education Department following failed negotiations with Grand Alliance Balochistan, which had been staging a protest to demand the rights of provincial employees.
The protest, organized by Grand Alliance Balochistan, focused on issues related to employees’ welfare, service matters, and administrative reforms.

Following talks between government representatives and alliance leaders, the demonstration was called off after authorities assured participants that their concerns would be addressed through appropriate channels.

Officials said the suspension of 32 Education Department personnel is part of broader efforts to improve transparency, accountability, and governance within the department.

The move is being viewed as one of the most notable administrative decisions taken by the provincial government in response to concerns raised by employees and stakeholders.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue and institutional reforms to strengthen public service delivery across Balochistan.

Government sources said consultations with employee representatives will continue to ensure long-term solutions to outstanding issues.
Grand Alliance Balochistan leaders expressed hope that the progress achieved through negotiations would pave the way for further reforms and better protection of employees’ rights across the province.
