By News Desk: The Balochistan government has approved an anti-terror sanitization operation in Hanna Urak and adjoining areas following the recent terrorist attack, as Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting on the province’s security situation and announced a series of measures aimed at restoring peace.

The meeting decided to immediately launch the operation against militants to eliminate security threats in the affected area. Authorities also approved the establishment of a joint security check post, which became operational on Monday and will be jointly managed by all relevant law enforcement agencies to strengthen coordination and maintain law and order.

To address the ongoing protests through dialogue, the chief minister constituted a high-level negotiation committee headed by Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove and Provincial Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar. The committee has been directed to immediately engage with protesters, tribal elders, elected representatives and other stakeholders to find a peaceful solution.

Speaking during the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti said those involved in the Hanna Urak terrorist attack, including facilitators and supporters, would face strict and indiscriminate legal action. He emphasized that the counterterrorism operation would continue until its objectives were achieved, adding that the government would not compromise on the writ of the state.

The chief minister announced that financial assistance and compensation for the families of those killed and other affected victims would begin within the next two days.

He reaffirmed that peaceful protest is a constitutional right, assuring that the provincial government would address the genuine concerns of demonstrators through constructive dialogue while ensuring public order.

Praising the people and tribal communities of Hanna Urak, Bugti said they had displayed exceptional courage and patriotism by resisting terrorist elements despite difficult circumstances.

Describing terrorism as a common threat to both Balochistan and Pakistan, he called for greater national unity and coordinated efforts among all institutions to eliminate militancy and ensure lasting peace.

Bugti reiterated that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the government’s foremost responsibility and pledged to utilize all available resources to improve security across the province.
