By Our Correspondent: The inquiry commission investigating the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam pumping station in Ziarat has summoned the Secretary of Interior for the next hearing and directed him to submit a comprehensive report on functions performed under Section 37 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.
Justice Muhammad Aamir Nawaz Rana conducted the open-court hearing on Thursday, during which statements of witnesses were recorded.
The Additional Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Balochistan Zone Quetta, also appeared before the commission in person and submitted an investigation report.
Following a review of the report, the commission issued further directions concerning the ongoing inquiry into the Mangi Dam terrorist attack.
The Secretary of Interior has been ordered to personally appear at the next hearing and provide details regarding functions carried out under Section 37 of PECA 2016.
The commission also directed the Interior Secretary to assist the inquiry and provide relevant information during the next proceedings.
The investigation is examining the circumstances surrounding the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam pumping station in Ziarat, with witnesses and relevant government officials being called to provide information to the commission.
