For Jam Kamal threat exists within BAP, not from opposition

The threat for chief minister, Jam Kamal Khan exists within the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) rather than opposition. Opposition legislators submitted a no-confidence motion against Jam Kamal the other day.
However, internal differences and infighting within the ruling party dominated the political scene instead of the opposition’s no-confidence motion. Instead of evolving a combined strategy to counter the opposition’s move, differences among ministers especially from BAP widened.
Around 20 legislators including the finance minister, Zahoor Buledi, minister food, Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, Akbar Askani, Bushra Rind, and others participated in a dinner hosted by Naseebullah Marri of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI). Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Qudoos Bizenjo and former CM Sardar Saleh Bhootani have already launched a campaign against Jam Kamal.

CM Jam Kamal also met with provincial ministers Mir Ziaullah Langove, Omar Jamali, Mir Arif Jan Muhammad Hassani, Saleem Khoso, Sardar Babar Musakhail, Sardar Masood Luni, Toor UthmanKhail, Zamarak Achakzai of Awami National Party (ANP), Asghar Khan Achakzai, Malik Naeem Bazai, Qadir Nail of Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) and others.
It was a BAP-cum coalition partners meeting that reposed confidence in the leadership of CM Jam Kamal Khan.
It is a bizarre no-confidence motion submitted by the opposition but lobbying reaches its peak within the coalition partners in general and ruling BAP in particular. The opposition requires 10 legislators to make the no-confidence motion a success.
Opposition can not overthrow the government with 23 legislators
With 23 legislators, the joint opposition comprising Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (F), Balochistan National Party (Mengal), PKMAP, in-house change is not possible. If differences widen within the ruling party, it can pave way for the success of the motion.
Cracks within BAP and PTI is nothing new. Since the establishment of Jam Kamal led government in 2018, this hide-and-seek starts after every six months. Track-record shows, the incumbent CM has proved to be the winner after every political battle. Although, this time anger among the BAP legislators seems to be high as compared to the past.
