40 MPAs including Nawab Zehri demand Jam Kamal to step down

QUETTA: 40 members of the Balochistan Assembly including Nawab Sanaullah Zehri have demanded of Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan to step down on Saturday night. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) legislator and former CM Balochistan announced supporting no-confidence motion against Jam Kamal.
“Being Jam of Lasbella, he should resign in a respectable way”, Nawab Zehri told a crowded press conference at the residence of speaker Balochistan Assembly Qudoos Bizenjo. General (R) Qadir Baloch, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hyderi, BAP acting president Zahoor Buledi, and others were also present on the occasion.
Jam Kamal has refused to step down
Hitherto, CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan has refused to tender resignation and announced to face the no-confidence motion. The speaker has convened the assembly session on October 25 at 11 am for voting on a no-confidence motion.
“Jam Sab has lost the majority in the house”, Maulana Hyderi said. He demanded of the CM to step down in a respectable way and accept the majority of members in the house.
PPP has decided to support the opposition and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) angry members in Balochistan, General (R) Qadir Baloch said on the occasion. “PPP leader Asif Zardari has given instructions in this regard”, Mr. Baloch said.
Speaker Bizenjo asks Jam Kamal to resign
Speaking on the occasion, speaker Qudoos Bizenjo reiterated the demand for the resignation of the incumbent CM. He said the majority of the members have turned up against the CM and there was no justification for him to continue the job.
Legislators from the opposition parties including JUI (F), BNP (M), PKMAP were also present on the occasion. Female lawmakers from the ruling BAP who had gone ‘missing’ on October 20th were also present on the occasion.
The opposition and BAP angry members had accused the CM Jam Kamal of ‘kidnapping’ of women lawmakers. The charge was vehemently denied by the CM and his spokesman. However, the women lawmakers surfaced in Islamabad on Friday evening and arrived in Quetta on Saturday.
