QUETTA: Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the Chief Minister Balochistan designate on Thursday said he would contact former CM Jam Kamal Khan. “I would try to meet the former CM and take benefit of his experience”, Mr. Bizenjo told reporters outside the Balochistan Assembly Secretariat.
The former CM Jam Kamal Khan also said that Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) stands together and is firm on all-important decision-making. The former CM took to social media network Twitter and said, “my good wishes for Quddus Bizenjo and Jan Jamali”. Jam Kamal stated, “our differences were before the resignations not after that”.
Jan Jamal to be the speaker BA
The BAP has nominated Jan Muhammad Jamali as the Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly.
The CM designate Quddus Bizenjo however said that he would try to consult all senior parliamentarians including former CMs Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani and Nawab Sanaullah Zehri. Bizenjo stated that all political parties and stakeholders would be taken into confidence to frame policies about Balochistan and give relief to what he called the common man.
New CM to take oath tomorrow
The new chief minister would take oath at 4 pm at the Governor’s house tomorrow (October 29), Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Sardar Babar Musakhail said. He said the new chief minister is going to be unopposed since no candidate submitted a nomination paper for the slot of CM.
BAP nominated Quddus Bizenjo after the resignation of Jam Kamal Khan as the CM Balochistan. Differences within the party and mounting pressure on the part of lawmakers forced Jam Kamal to step down as the CM Balochistan. The ruling BAP’s core committee was also divided and the party turned into two groups.
The party founder Senate Saeed Hashmi declared Zahoor Buledi as the acting president of the party after the resignation of Jam Kamal as party president. Although, Jam Kamal later withdrew his decision with regard to the resignation.
