Blast injured over a dozen people in Kharan

A blast has injured over a dozen people in Balochistan’s Kharan district on Tuesday. Police sources said miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device in a motorcycle at Chief Chowk Kharan. All the injured were civilians, police said.
Rescue workers and police rushed the injured of the blast to district headquarters hospital Kharan for medical treatment. An emergency was imposed in the hospital to provide medical treatment to the injured of the blast. Police said the blast also damaged a vehicle and nearby shops. The loud sound of the blast was heard far and wide causing panic in the city.
Police said they are investigating the terrorist incident. “What was the target of the blast, we do not know this time”, a police official told Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity. Security tightened in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan in the aftermath of recent acts of terrorism in Balochistan.
CM Bizenjo condemns the attack
Chief Minister Balochistan, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the terrorist incident and termed it a cowardly act. He directed the administration to apprehend the culprits behind the attack. The CM directed the police to submit a report in this regard.
The CM took serious notice of terrorist acts in the province. Bizenjo convened an important meeting tomorrow regarding the law and order situation in Balochistan. Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Inspector General of Police, and officials from the Frontier Corps would participate in the meeting, an official handout issued on Monday said.
This explosion has come a day after a famous businessman and a political personality from Balochistan’s Awaran district, Akram Sajidi was killed in a blast in Hub. Police said miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device at the vehicle of Akram Sajidi. The outlawed Baloch militant group had claimed the responsibility for the attack.
