Crucial negotiations held between CM Bizenjo, Gwadar Rights Movement

GWADAR: Crucial negotiations were held between Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo and leaders of the Gwadar Rights Movement on Wednesday night. Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman, a local cleric leading the sit-in represented the movement during negotiations.
“Important negotiations held”, a senior administration official told Quetta Voice via telephone. He requested anonymity since he was not authorized to speak to the media. Negotiations were held at a private hotel located on the top of Koh e Batil in Gwadar.
Provincial Ministers were also present in the negotiations
Provincial ministers including Syed Ehsan Shah, Mir Zahoor Buledi, Akbar Askani, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana, Commissioner Mekran Division, Shabir Ahmed Mengal, and others were also present during the negotiations.
The second round of talks would be held on Thursday (tomorrow). The Gwadar Rights Movement (GRM) has been protesting for last more than a month in support of its demands. Besides men, a large number of women are also part of the sit-in, which entered the 32nd day on Thursday.
The GRM has been demanding an end to illegal trawling, employment opportunities, etc from the provincial and federal governments. The government has already held a series of negotiations with the protesters.
