Police foiled a major terror bid near railway station Chaman on Saturday. Unknown terrorists had planted a bomb in a motorcycle parked near the station. Police reached the spot and cordoned off the area.

A bomb disposal squad was called to the area to defuse the planted bomb in the motorcycle and conduct a sweeping of the area.

Police launched an investigation into the incident and tightened security prior to the local bodies’ elections in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with Afghanistan. Chaman has already witnessed bomb explosions in the past.

Scores of precious human lives were lost in bomb explosions in Chaman.
