Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Balochistan’s flood-affected Jhal Magsi district on Saturday and met with flood affectees. Member National Assembly (MNA), Nawabzada Khalid Magsi, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili and other high-elve officials received the Premier in Jhal Magsi.

The Premier announced the provision of Rs.1 million compensation for the heirs of those who lost their lives in floods and Rs.5 lakh for those whose houses were damaged.

 

The CS briefed the PM about the damages caused by the floods and heavy rainfall in the area. He also briefed the premier about the ongoing rescue and relief operation in Balochistan. The Premier’s visit to Balochistan was earlier canceled because of bad weather conditions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister stated that the federal government was committed to extending all possible support to the flood-affected people of Balochistan. “We will not leave alone in this hour of trial”, Shehbaz Sharif told the flood-affected people. He informed that the federal government has formed four committees comprising representatives of all four provinces to assess the damages.

He also interacted with flood people and asked about their problems.
