Construction of examination hall at college of physicians, surgeons started: Dr. Ayesha

Elected Counsellor of the College of Physician and Surgeon from Balochistan and Chief Regional Director, Professor Ayesha Siddique, has said that Development work for the construction of the examination hall and library started in the College of Physician and Surgeon (CPSP) with the estimated cost of Rs. 30 million.

Talking to a delegation of doctors who called on her here on Wednesday, she said that fifty percent development work for the construction of the examination hall and library in CPSP had been completed while the remaining work would be completed within three to five months. She added that it was the need of time to provide the facilities of emergency services to Sheikh Zaid Hospital, Quetta, Benazir Hospital, Quetta and Mufti Mehmood Hospital, Quetta. “I am thankful to Professor Dr. Shoaib Shafee and Professor Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal to have provided funds to the college”, she said, adding that it was for the first time in thirty years that the convocation of CPSP was arranged wherein 200 doctors were awarded degrees of fellowship.

She said that about 67 doctors had been posted as supervisors in a period of three years besides getting Sheikh Zaid Hospital and Benazir Hospital affiliated with CPSP. She said that Loralai Medical College Teaching Hospital, Khuzdar Medical College Teaching Hospital, and Turbat Medical College Teaching Hospital would soon be got recognized by CPSP for training. She added that in the wake of recent floods, which wreaked havoc in different areas of the province, medical camps were arranged in flood-affected areas of the province to provide healthcare facilities to the people.
