QUETTA: The Corona Cell Balochistan has confirmed 147 cases of the virus on Friday evening. With the confirmation of new cases, the tally has reached 2,457 cases across the province. Waseem Baig, the Spokesman Corona Cell Balochistan told daily Quetta Voice that total of 457 tests were conducted on Friday, and 147 were declared positive in laboratory results.

The number of patients recovering from the deadly virus also continues to rise as the number of patients recovering from the virus reached 383. Balochistan has so far conducted over 17,000 tests since the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The government has planned to increase the tests and improve the testing capacity to make sure every suspected patient is tested and screened, Mr. Baig said.

As per the statistics shared in a daily situation report, Quetta, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Mastung and Jaffarabad have been hit hard by the virus that spreads fast in the province. So far, cases have been confirmed in 20 districts of Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta.
