Police station attacked in Quetta, one personnel injured

A police station was attacked in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan on Saturday. Police sources said unknown miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at the civil line police station. One policeman deployed at the police station was injured in the attack.

The injured policeman was rushed to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. The miscreants escaped unhurt from the spot. Senior police officials reached the police station and started an investigation into the incident.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo took notice of the attack and directed the police to arrest the culprits behind the attack. In a statement issued after the attack, Mr. Bizenjo directed for providing better medical treatment to the injured policeman.
