QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan has released the preliminary list of Balochistan Provincial Assembly seats.

In terms of population, the smallest seat is in Awaran where the total population is 1 lakh and 78 thousand.

The largest seat in terms of population is Chaman, where the population is 466,000.

Panjgur seats increased

The seats of Chaman and Qilla Abdullah have been reduced from the earlier 3 seats to 2, while the seats of Panjgur have been increased from one to two seats.

A new constituency comprising Barkhan District and Musa Khel District has been created while Harnai has been cut off from Ziarat and included in Sibi District Constituency.

The number of seats in the provincial assembly of Quetta has been set at 9, while Ketch Turbat has 4 seats and Khuzdar/Pishin has 3 seats each.
