QUETTA: The caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki, has taken decisive action to address the looming threat of heavy losses faced by the growers community due to persistent power outages during the crops season. Recognizing the crucial role of the agricultural sector and its significance to the province, Chief Minister Domki has initiated steps to find swift solutions to the power crisis.

Crisis in the Agricultural Sector

Quetta’s agricultural sector is currently at risk due to prolonged power outages. This situation could lead to significant financial losses for growers who rely on a consistent and reliable supply of electricity for irrigation, crop management, and other critical processes.

Awareness of Growers’ Plight

Caretaker Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki is acutely aware of the hardships faced by the landlords in the region. He understands the importance of safeguarding their interests and protecting the agricultural sector from impending destruction and financial losses.

Emergency Solutions in the Works

In a bid to swiftly address the issue, Chief Minister Domki has summoned the head of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to discuss and implement emergency solutions to restore power promptly. This move reflects the government’s commitment to resolving the ongoing power crisis, which has had a direct impact on the livelihoods of landlords.

Protecting Landlords’ Financial Interests

The caretaker Chief Minister is determined to prevent financial losses among landlords by restoring electricity as a matter of urgency. This proactive stance aims to provide immediate relief to the affected landlords and safeguard the agricultural sector from further damage.

To ensure a coordinated effort, caretaker provincial information minister Jan Achakzai and the Zamindar Action Committee will maintain close contact regarding the progress of the power restoration efforts. This collaborative approach emphasizes the government’s commitment to addressing the issue comprehensively.
