QUETTA: The Balochistan caretaker government has decided to digitize employee attendance, transfers, postings, and department records under the proposed Cloud Policy. Balochistan Caretaker Minister for Industries, Prince Ahmed Ali, shared this information with Daily Quetta Voice.
According to Prince Ahmed Ali, this move aims to enhance governance and government affairs in Balochistan. A reputable technology giant will be awarded the contract to implement the Cloud Policy.
Cloud-Based Policy To Ensure Transparency
The Minister highlighted that the performance tracking will be cloud-based, ensuring transparency and improved governance. He emphasized that the Cloud-Based Policy will eliminate the need for long queues, allowing utility bills to be submitted seamlessly.
Furthermore, Prince Ahmed Ali mentioned that the federal government and other provincial governments have already adopted the Cloud Policy. “We are introducing the policy here now,” he stated.
To oversee the implementation, a committee has been formed, including the caretaker information minister, Jan Achakzai, the sports minister, Nawabzada Jamali Raisani, and the Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University of Information Technology Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Dr. Khalid Hafeez, who possesses deep knowledge of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The proposed cloud policy aims to centralize all departments for efficient management. The Balochistan caretaker government, recognizing the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, has strategically included Dr. Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor of BUITEMS, in the committee. This emphasizes the crucial role of AI and robotics in advancing governance, streamlining processes, and ensuring the success of the proposed Cloud Policy in Balochistan.
