Governor Balochistan, Malik Wali Kakar distributing shields among the passed graduates of BUITEMS

QUETTA: In a spectacular ceremony held on Thursday, the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) commemorated its 19th Convocation, applauding the accomplishments of 589 graduates from 32 diverse departments. The event, a testament to academic prowess, featured the conferral of degrees upon outstanding students in MS, MBA, and BS programs.

Governor Balochistan Graced The Occasion

The prestigious occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, who bestowed 40 gold medals and 7 Badges of Honor upon high-achieving graduates. Noteworthy distinctions included 17 recipients of MS degrees, 12 MBA graduates, and an impressive 560 students completing their BS degrees. The Zhob campus also witnessed the conferment of degrees upon students from four departments.

In his address, Governor Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar underscored the transformative role envisioned for the graduating students in eliminating the developmental disparities in Balochistan. He expressed profound pride in the educated and skilled youth, emphasizing their success as a beacon for a secure and vibrant future for both Balochistan and Pakistan.

Governor Encouraged Graduates To Remain Resilient

Governor Kakar encouraged the graduates to remain resilient in the face of challenges, urging them to prioritize education and skill development. He lauded BUITEMS as a source of hope for the province’s youth.

Chancellor BUITEMS, Professor Dr Khalid Hafeez, underscored the university’s commitment to delivering quality education and research aligned with international standards. He commended the tireless efforts of the faculty and staff, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future.

Dr. Khalid Hafeez expressed confidence in the graduates, equipped with four-year degrees from BUITEMS, making substantial contributions to the social, economic, and industrial progress of the region.

The convocation witnessed a distinguished gathering, including provincial ministers, senior government officials, and members of the public. The lively participation of students and their parents added to the festive ambiance of this momentous event.
