QUETTA: Dr. Mahrang Baloch, leader of the Baloch Solidarity Committee, announced at a press conference in Quetta that the committee will hold a gathering, “Baloch Raji Machi,” on July 28 in Gwadar. The event aims to peacefully address issues such as exploitation of natural resources, and human rights violations in Balochistan. Emphasizing non-violence, Dr. Baloch highlighted the committee’s commitment to orderly conduct.
Preparations for the event have been ongoing, despite reported challenges, including allegations of harassment and temporary detention of campaign workers by security forces in Khuzdar.
Dr. Baloch urged the government to respect constitutional rights and avoid using force against peaceful activities.
She expressed disappointment over what he described as the government’s excessive measures to hinder their gathering.
The Baloch Solidarity Committee remains determined to proceed with “Baloch Raji Machi,” advocating for democratic principles and drawing international attention to their cause. The event marks a significant moment in their ongoing efforts to seek justice and rights within the province amidst increasing tensions.
