Quetta: The Balochistan National Party (BNP) announced a peaceful protest campaign across Balochistan, starting with a shutter-down strike on October 30 and a wheel-jam strike on highways on November 2.

BNP leader Agha Hassan Baloch stated the protests aim to highlight alleged government injustices and rights violations affecting Balochistan’s citizens.

At a press conference, Baloch condemned recent terrorism-related FIRs filed against BNP leaders, including Sardar Akhtar Mengal, questioning if free expression is now treated as terrorism.

He claimed thousands of Baloch youth are being unfairly targeted, with names added to the Fourth Schedule and ID cards and SIMs blocked.

Calling the current government “worst,” Baloch pointed out cases against current and former elected representatives, stating BNP’s dedication to democracy and fearless stance against intimidation.

The BNP, he added, will continue its mission against “ongoing injustices and dictatorship” in Balochistan.
