Ayub Bhutto:
DERA MURAD JAMALI: Mir Muhammad Sadiq Umrani, the Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the Balochistan Assembly, has rejected claims of a power-sharing deal with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Addressing reporters, Umrani stated that the PPP would complete its full five-year tenure in Balochistan. “The PPP and PML-N are the main coalition partners in the province, and there is no agreement to transfer power halfway through the term,” he clarified.
His comments follow a statement by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, a senior PML-N leader, who mentioned an alleged two-and-a-half-year agreement. “The PPP will complete its term, and afterward, the PML-N will form the next government with PPP as a coalition partner,” Jam Kamal had reportedly said.
Umrani emphasized the PPP’s focus on delivering development and public welfare initiatives. “Our government is committed to promoting education, healthcare, civil services, and boosting business activities across Balochistan. These efforts reflect our resolve to address the province’s challenges and improve the quality of life for its people,” he said.
The PPP-PML-N coalition has been instrumental in maintaining political stability in Balochistan and advancing key development programs. Both parties have reiterated their commitment to working together for the province’s progress.
This statement clears the air regarding the government’s tenure and underscores the PPP’s focus on fulfilling its promises to the people of Balochistan.
