Quetta: The family of 10-year-old Musawir Khan, who was abducted on November 15 from the Multani Mohala area of Quetta, has joined political leaders in announcing a tribal jirga to intensify efforts for his recovery. Despite promises from authorities and widespread protests, no significant progress has been made in the case.

During a joint press conference, Sardar Rashid Nasir said, “The Prime Minister announced the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT), and the provincial government sought 10 days to recover Musawir. Yet, nearly a month and a half later, we have received no updates.”

Musawir’s family remains in deep anguish, with the community voicing outrage over the government’s failure to act. The abduction has sparked protests, highlighting security concerns in Quetta.

Criticizing the government’s inaction, Sardar Rashid Nasir stated, “The provincial authorities have failed to protect their people. This negligence cannot be ignored.”

In response to the prolonged inaction, leaders have called for a grand tribal jirga to unite efforts and demand accountability. The jirga will bring together tribal elders and political figures to press for Musawir’s safe return.

This case has become a stark reminder of the security challenges in Balochistan, with families and communities urging immediate action to recover the missing child.
