PANJGUR: A Levies personnel was killed in a firing incident at Football Chowk in Panjgur district, Balochistan, on Monday.

The victim, identified as Mumtaz Ahmed, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants. Following the attack, the body was shifted to a nearby hospital for legal formalities.

Security forces cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Such incidents highlight the persistent security challenges in the region, with law enforcement agencies often targeted by militants.
