Quetta, Feb 4: An Assistant Superintendent Jail, identified as Qasim Raisani, was shot dead in a targeted attack on Jail Road, Quetta, on Tuesday.
According to initial reports, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Raisani while he was on his way to the jail. He sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.
Following the attack, the assailants fled the scene. Police arrived promptly, cordoned off the area, and launched an investigation.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are working to determine the motive behind the attack.
