News Desk:
A new controversy has emerged in Khuzdar after the District Education Officer (DEO) allegedly released a secret list of SBK recruitment results, defying clear directives from the Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan, the Commissioner of Kalat Division, and the Secretary of Education.
According to affected candidates, the list was issued quietly on an official holiday, just a week ago, raising serious concerns over transparency and fairness in the hiring process. The candidates claim that the DEO had previously committed similar injustices, prompting them to lodge complaints with both the Deputy Commissioner and the Commissioner. Their grievances led to an inquiry, where the Commissioner ruled in their favour and shared CRC (Commissioner Review Committee) meeting minutes with the Secretary of Education. The Secretary reportedly endorsed the findings and issued orders to halt appointment letters issued through allegedly fraudulent means.
In addition to official complaints, the candidates also submitted their concerns via the Chief Minister’s complaint portal. They were later contacted by the CM’s House, where they were assured that the DEO had admitted his mistake and that the issue had been resolved. However, to their surprise, the DEO reissued the list on a holiday, effectively ignoring standing orders.
When questioned, the DEO reportedly claimed that the CRC meeting minutes had not yet been received from the Secretary’s office and that action would be taken only after official confirmation. Despite this claim, the DEO allegedly included candidates in the new list whose appointment orders had already been suspended following the official investigation.
Frustrated by the lack of response, the complainants reached out to local media, who confirmed that the DEO Khuzdar has been avoiding press inquiries.
The affected candidates are now demanding strict disciplinary action against the DEO from the Chief Minister and other senior provincial officials. They allege deliberate misuse of authority, violation of official directives, and irregularities in the recruitment process under the SBK program.
