Qilla Abdullah – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) along with local law enforcement continued their sixth consecutive day of crackdown against poppy cultivation in Teh Dobandi and surrounding villages of Qilla Abdullah district.

During today’s operation, 130 acres of poppy fields were cleared, out of which 55 acres were destroyed due to water shortage, while 75 acres were eradicated directly by the teams. According to officials, a total of 654 acres of land has so far been cleared of poppy cultivation.

Legal Action

The ANF registered one additional FIR, bringing the total number of cases filed to 10. However, no arrests or recoveries of equipment have been reported so far.

Machinery and Forces Deployed

The operation utilized 10 weedicides spray machines, 4 grass-cutting machines, and 2 tractors.

Security forces deployed included:

  • 14 FC Wing 138 personnel with 2 vehicles
  • 7 ANF officials with 1 vehicle
  • 50 Levies Force personnel including laborers with 7 vehicles

The Excise and Narcotics Department did not participate, as their operational permission expired on September 30.

Operation Areas

The crackdown has expanded across several regions, including Lahrr, Lurrgi, Abbas, Zarnaza, Bunyadi, Karrak, Shaas, Kherzai, Kach Addozai, Toor Kaan, Chinar, Baillo, and adjoining villages.
