Barkhan : On the clear directives of Commissioner Loralai Division Wali Muhammad Badeech, the 15-day Special Cleanliness Campaign in Barkhan city has been successfully completed. The campaign was led by Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Khosa, while Chief Officer Municipal Committee Barkhan Muhammad Javed Kasi supervised the entire operation with strict monitoring to ensure an effective, organized, and transparent cleanup process.
During the campaign, extensive cleanliness work was carried out from the city’s central zones to the outer localities. Key areas including Madina Masjid Mohalla, main bazaar, streets and lanes, drainage lines, garbage dumps, Pahari Mohalla, Stadium area, Shadi Khan Mohalla, DC Office surroundings, Bypass, Haji Shero Mohalla, and Main Dakani Road Barkhan were thoroughly cleaned. Public spaces were swept, waste was collected, and sanitation efforts were intensified. The municipal staff remained active in the field on a daily basis, earning appreciation from the residents.
Addressing the concluding review meeting, Chief Officer Muhammad Javed Kasi stated that this was not just a cleanliness campaign but a commitment to public health, environmental protection, and responsible civic behavior. He said that although the 15-day campaign has concluded, routine cleanliness operations will continue daily to maintain the city’s beauty and hygiene.
He appreciated the hard work of the sanitation staff, the cooperation of residents, and the guidance of senior authorities, emphasizing that no campaign can succeed without public participation. The Chief Officer also noted that daily progress reports were sent to the Commissioner’s Office to maintain complete oversight and transparency.
In the end, the administration once again appealed to the public to consider cleanliness a national and religious duty, dispose of waste at designated spots, avoid blocking drainage lines, and support the authorities in keeping Barkhan clean, green, and healthy. This campaign marks a positive step towards the development and welfare of Barkhan, and its continuation will remain a priority in the future.
