QUETTA: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta on Monday confirmed the bail of Balochistan National Party (BNP) President Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal after he appeared before the court in connection with a case.
A large number of senior BNP leaders, lawyers, and party workers attended the hearing in support of the party chief.
Among those present were BNP Central Information Secretary Agha Hassan Baloch Advocate, Central Deputy Secretary General Malik Naseer Shahwani, Central Labour Secretary Musa Baloch, Central Human Rights Secretary Ahmed Nawaz Baloch, Central Executive Committee members Mir Maqbool Lehri, Mir Rauf Mengal, and Chairman Javed Baloch.
Also present were Baloch Students Organization (BSO) Secretary General Samand Baloch, Quetta District Organizer Haji Waheed Lehri and others were also present on the occasion.
Following the proceedings, the court confirmed Mengal’s interim bail. No additional details regarding the case or the date of the next hearing were immediately made public.
