Quetta: Security forces have killed a wanted terrorist commander, Adil Shah alias Darwaish, during an intelligence-based operation in Killa Saifullah district of Balochistan under the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, according to security sources.
Security sources said the slain commander was affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij since December 2020 and had been overseeing the terrorist group’s financial affairs since 2024.
According to the sources, Adil Shah had also been facilitating the provision of permanent accommodation to non-local terrorists in Zhob, Sherani and Shaban.
The sources further alleged that the commander had been involved in attacks on security forces since 2022 and 2023, as well as extortion linked to kidnapping for ransom.
Nineteen first information reports (FIRs) had been registered against him in anti-terrorism courts, while a bounty of Rs2.5 million had been announced for his arrest, security sources said.
Security sources stated that operations against terrorists in Balochistan would continue until the elimination of the last terrorist.
