Sheikh Rasheed’s first warning to opposition

Federal Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has issued a first stern warning to the opposition parties on Monday. Talking to reporters in Islamabad, the Minister said, “enough is enough, Nawaz Sharif Sab”. “I convey the first message to Nawaz Sharif Sab as an interior minister”, he said.
The minister’s statement has come a day after the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) power show at Minar e Pakistan against the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) led government.
“We are proud of our great military and their sacrifices”, the Minister said. He said, “you will not fulfil foreign agenda as a nation has rejected you”. Nation will foil your designs, Sheikh Rasheed said.
Sheikh Rasheed, however, said the opposition should submit resignations early and questioned that why it preferred to submit resignations in February.
“We are an elected, democratic government”, the Minister said
“We are an elected, democratic government and, under the leadership of Imran Khan, we will take this country forward. We don’t want to close the doors for dialogue. [The opposition] says it does not want to talk to Imran. Tell us who you wish to speak to so that we can arrange it,” he said while speaking to the media in Islamabad.
Ahmed stated that the opposition had not said “anything new” at the Lahore rally. However, commenting on the speech made by PkMAP chief Mahmood Achakzai, the minister said that the remarks were “irresponsible”.
“All those that lose elections develop mental health issues,” he said.
