ZHOB: As a protest against the brutal murder of a 12-year old minor boy, the angry protesters blocked the main road linking Zhob and other parts of Balochistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Police recovered the dead boy of Asmatullah Safi, a 12-year old minor boy, Sher Ali Mandokhail, the Station House Officer (SHO) Zhob said. The accused had first kidnapped and then brutally murdered the minor boy, Mr. Mandokhail informed. Police shifted the dead body of the minor to district headquarters hospital Zhob for postmortem.
Heirs had lodged FIR about missing of the minor earlier
The heirs of the victim had lodged the first information report regarding the missing of the minor boy. However, the 12-year old boy’s body found on Sunday morning.
The tragic incident prompted the people to block the main Zhob chowk linking Balochistan with Dera Ismail Khan and other parts of KP. The protesters burnt tires to vent their anger and chanted full-throated slogans against the incident.
The protesters demanded of the government to arrest the culprits involved in the cold-blooded murder of the minor boy. The district administration Zhob held prolonged negotiations with protesters to end the protest.

The administration assured that the culprits involved in the incident would be brought to book. The district administration held successful negotiations with protesters and assured the arrest of culprits. The protesters ended the protest after the nomination of the accused in the FIR.
The incident of child abuse and violence against women have increased in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan recently. The human rights groups expressed a concerned voice regarding a constant rise in the number of such incidents in the province.
The Balochistan High Court (BHC) had also taken notice of increasing incidents of child abuse in the province. Chief Justice BHC, Mr. Justice Jamal Mandokhail had directed the lower judiciary to dispose of the child abuse cases on a priority basis.
The court had also directed the divisional commissioners to submit reports about incidents of child abuse.
