The Prize Distribution Ceremony of Sports Week 2022 was held at the Seminar Hall of the University on 24th October 2022. “The Directorate of Sports will further be strengthened and students will be provided with better sports facilities”, the Vice-Chancellor of Gwadar University lamented.
Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq the Vice-Chancellor of the university of Gwadar was the chief guest of the ceremony. He said that “besides promoting education and research activities, a comprehensive plan is underway to enhance sports activities in the university as well”.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked the organizing committee members for arranging such lively sports activities quite in a professional manner that are requisite to refresh the body, polish skills, and cheer up minds.
He said that sports make us learn to accept both victories and defeats with smiles and sophistication. “Many games were organized in the Sports Week, UG is the first university in Pakistan that introduced Beach Games in its Sports Week in which students, faculty members, and admin staff participated enthusiastically”, Vice Chancellor further said.
Director Sports Saghir Naseem thanked the worthy Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Chairmans, Faculty Staff, Administrative Staff, and students for their cooperation in the successful conduct of Sports Week.
At the end of the ceremony Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir, VC UG, Registrar Dolat Khan, Director Sports Saghir Nasim, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Engineering & Technology Dr. Dhani Bux Talpur, Controller Examination Mujahid Hussain, Chairman Education Department Mukhtar Bashir, Deputy director Madam Shahnaz Noor and director Students Affairs Madam Sadia Naseer distributed trophies and shields among the winners, runners-up, and organizers. Aliza Jameel student in the 8th semester of the department of BBA performed the responsibilities of state Secretary of the ceremony.
