QUETTA: The Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) summoned former prime minister and chief of the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan regarding an investigation pertaining to the murder of Abdul Razzaq Shar Advocate in Quetta. The summon notice would be delivered through Lahore police to the former prime minister Imran Khan.

The son of senior lawyer, Siraj Ahmed Advocate had nominated the former premier in the murder case of his father. An FIR has already been lodged against the PTI Chief at the Jameel Shaheed Police Station in Quetta by police on the application of slain lawyer’s son.

“We have conveyed the summon notice through Lahore police to the PTI Chief”, a senior police officer said. He requested anonymity since he was not authorized to speak to the media. Since the son of the slain lawyer has nominated the former premier, therefore, the JIT wants to interrogate him, he mentioned.

The PTI chief has been summoned on June 26 in Quetta by the JIT. Senior lawyer, Razzaq Shar Advocate was killed in a firing incident on Quetta’s airport road on June 6. The slain lawyer was a petitioner at the Balochistan High Court (BHC) seeking registration of treason case against the PTI Chief for dissolving the assemblies etc.
