A female suicide bomber targeted a vehicle of frontier corps (FC) in Balochistan’s Turbat city on Saturday evening. Police and other law enforcers were quick at the spot. The female suicide bomber blew herself up when the frontier corps convoy was passing through the area.

One policeman was martyred in the attack

One policeman was martyred in the attack that rocked the main city of the Mekran division.

Police sources said five people including a female police constable was also injured in the attack. Loud explosion was heard far and wide, causing panic in the area. The blast caused panic among the people.

The injured people were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. Police reached the spot and collected evidence from the spot.

“It was a suicide attack”, a senior administration officer revealed

A senior administration officer said it was a suicide attack. An investigation was ordered in this regard. Senior investigators reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the incident and expressed grief over martyrdom of policeman. He said the architect of such terrorist acts would be brought to justice. “none would be spared”, Mr. Bizenjo said.
