QUETTA: The Zamindar Action Committee has threatened to take to the streets across Balochistan, organizing widespread protest demonstrations against a backdrop of pressing issues, including the non-supply of electricity to agricultural feeders, severe 22-hour force load shedding, the restoration of agricultural taxes, alleged misbehavior by QESCO, arrests related to unpaid bills, and other demands.
Protests on October 5
Malik Naseer Ahmad Shahwani, the chairman of the Zamindar Action Committee, the head of the committee announced its strategic plan. They have called for a central demonstration scheduled for October 11 in Quetta, the provincial capital, followed by a wheel jam strike slated for October 18 throughout Balochistan.
6-members committee formed
The committee has also established a 6-member support and consultation committee, comprising representatives from various parties, traders, and transporters, to foster unity and coordination among stakeholders.
To keep the public informed and engage political leaders, a press conference has been scheduled for October 4 at the local press club. During this conference, leaders from various political parties will address the media and provide insights into the decisions made by the Zamindar Action Committee.

Key figures participating in the action committee meeting included Kazim Khan Achakzai, Haji Aziz Sarpara, Haji Muhammad Afzal Bengalzai, Malik Manzoor Noshirwani, Haji Obaidullah Panizai and others were present.
They criticize QESCO
During the meeting, attendees expressed their strong disapproval of QESCO Balochistan’s alleged landlord-killing policy, describing it as a shocking act that is wholly unacceptable. The committee is determined to fight vigorously against this perceived oppression, pledging to use all available means to protect the interests of landlords in the region.
