PISHIN: A traffic police constable was seriously injured in an armed attack at the local bus station area on Wednesday. According to police sources, unknown assailants opened fire on the constable while he was on duty. The injured officer was immediately rushed to Civil Hospital Pishin, where senior doctors were called in to provide urgent medical treatment. The attackers fled the scene on a motorcycle.

This incident follows a similar attack the previous day at the Malizai levies check post, where two levies personnel were martyred. Deputy Commissioner Juma Dad Mandokhail confirmed the tragic loss.

Political parties and civil society groups have strongly condemned both attacks, calling on the provincial government to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators. They have urged authorities to increase security measures in the district to prevent further incidents and ensure the safety of law enforcement personnel and the public. The community remains on high alert as investigations continue.
