QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has rejected allegations about paying money to members of the provincial assembly during the formation of the government. “I strongly reject such allegations”, he told reporters at CM Secretariat on Thursday evening. Balochistan Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove, Chief Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana, Principal Secretary to CM, Lal Jan Jaffar and others were also present on the occasion.

“Yes, we provided good food but not paid any money”, Mr. Bizenjo replied to a question regarding Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) leader, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind’s claims.

BAP MNAs make decisions in the interests of the country and province

To a question about the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister, he said that members of the national assembly from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) would make a good decision about the country and province. “We will make a good decision”, he said.

Yet to another question about the expected no-confidence motion against him, he said, “no issue, I am not concerned about this”. He said his government was making efforts to provide equal funds to all constituencies of the province. CM Balochistan stated that in the past non-elected members were given funds and the elected representatives of the masses were ignored by the former setup.

Educational institutions to be reopened

Regarding the threat alert, the CM stated that he has directed the Chief Secretary and other concerned quarters to make sure the re-opening of the educational institutions. “We will not shut down our educational institutions”, he said. His comments have come after the abrupt closure of all private and public educational institutions in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.

CM Balochistan reiterated that his government was serious in addressing the grievances of the government employees and masses of the province. He said despite all odds, his government has made good strides in different sectors.
